About Temple

Construction of Sree Rama Mandir was a realistic dream of Smt Pudi Saradamma and Sri Pudi Venkata Subbaiah along with Sri Pasupulati Subbaiah and Smt Shake Naguramma. As they were in pursuit of identifying the right place for the mandir Smt & Sri Ramisetty Sudhar and Padma came forward to donate their piece of land in the colony for constructing the temple. As the construction was in progress, Smt and Sri JUPUDI Madhavi & Suresh also came forward to donate their piece of land which is in front of the mandir.

Sri Pudi Sreenivasulu and Smt Rama Devi brought 5 Lts of water from Sri ARDHAGIRI Anjaneya Swamy, Ardardhagiri ( Mandal) Chittoor District with the intention of constructing Sree Rama Mandir at their native place and seeking his blesses to bestow good health and prosperity upon villagers of Vegur. No wonder, within short time, the construction of mandir began which was in the month September 2010 day of Sri Rama Navami.

Though the initial proposal was to install just photo of Lord Sree Rama in the mandir, Sri NV Anantha Krishna from Sai Nagar, Nagole, Hyderabad came forward to contribute the entire amount for making of idols of Lord Sree Rama, Seetha Devi, Lakshmana and Sri Hanuman.

The dream of a small mandir realized into a Mandir in no time and Vigraha Prathishta was performed on 20th October 2011. Donors contributed even small amounts of Rs 10/- to Rs 50,000/- for the construction of the mandir.
